This course is working towards NCEA level 1. Students will consolidate their knowledge about the culture and the language to be able to communicate in Samoan beyond the immediate context.

Students must have prior knowledge or studied at least one year of Samoan at school. (Curriculum level 4 expected)

Assessment Informationstudents have the opportunity to gain at least 20 credits. There two internal assessments and two externals.
Most of the assessment have a cultural knowledge required about Fa a Samoa. We will explore this in class.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
Total Credits Available: 24 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 10 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 14 credits.

and the final decision is at the discretion of the Head of Learning Area for that subject.
