Level 2 Economics
Year 12 Economics explores the issues of International Trade, Economic Growth, Employment and Price Stability, in the context of the NZ economy. Students will be able to define and explore these issues and have an understanding of their causes and possible effects. They will become aware of market forces and government policies and the impact of these policies on various groups.
Numerical and interpretation skills are integrated with economic ideas and understanding so that students will be well equipped to participate as well informed decision makers in society.

The workbooks used during this course will be available for optional student purchase at a cost of $26.00.
Recommended Prior Learning
Previous study in Economics is strongly recommended.
Total Credits Available: 18 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 8 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 10 credits.
