Level 3 Economics
The aim of the course is to enable students to attain a level of economic literacy and understanding which will allow them to develop a continuing and critical interest in contemporary economic issues. The skill of reasoning clearly by means of analytical techniques will allow students to present and interpret economic data and arguments in a clear and coherent manner.

Recommended Prior Learning
Previous study in Economics is essential. 12 credits at either Level One or Level Two will generally be required as a pre-requisite to study at this level.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.

and the final decision is at the discretion of the Head of Learning Area for that subject.
