Subject Description


The course continues to develop the skills needed to understand and use every day written and spoken French. The focus is on being able to communicate in unfamiliar contexts.
Students have to be committed to learning vocabulary and language features and to preparing their internal assessments. Cultural studies are an integral component of the course.
Every year some students carry on learning French at University successfully.
There is a possibility to pass the DELF exam (French international exam) allowing to skip some papers at university and gain UE in France.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
