Subject Description

Teacher in Charge:

This course focuses on essential numeracy skills; supporting students to develop important life skills, and enabling students to fully engage in work and in their communities.

The key aim in this course is supporting students to gain the numeracy co-requisite qualification.

This course does NOT lead to Mathematics in year 12.



Recommended Prior Learning

Year 10 Mathematics. Teachers will recommend which Mathematics course is most appropriate.

This course is designed for those who are working mainly at level 2 or 3 of the curriculum in year 10.

Pathway

This course does not lead to an NCEA level 2 course in Mathematics and Statistics.
