Subject Description

This course is designed to offer students opportunities to develop their understanding, investigating, communicating, participating, and contributing science in their everyday life.
The focus will be topics that are relevant to activities and items used every day. Topics studied can cover chemistry, biology, physics, earth and space science, and agriculture. Assessment will be built into these topics and will include skills in researching, practical skills, and experimenting.
The list of topics studied and assessed will be chosen from the list below by the students and teacher in charge. Although there are many standards shown below, you will be offered between 14-18 credits depending on the combination of assessments agreed to.
This course leads onto Level 2 General Science.
Recommended Prior Learning
There are no entry requirements for this course. Everyone is welcome!
You may not take this course AND Level 1 Senior Science.
