Subject Description

This course is designed build students' science literacy to enable informed participation in science-related debates and issues.
This is an internally assessed course with no external examination at the end of the year. The list of achievement standards offered below reflects the range of assessment opportunities. A minimum of 14 credits are offered from the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth & Space Science strands, but more may be offered (up to a maximum of 20 credits) depending on the class.
Assessments and topics can be tailored to meet the needs and interests of the class. This is an approved subject for University entrance.
Recommended Prior Learning
12 credits in Level 1 Science
OR
12 credits in Level 2 General Science
OR
currently enrolled in Level 2 Biology, Chemistry or Physics
OR
at the discretion of the HOD/Teacher in Charge.
You may not take this course and Level 3 Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
A chromebook or laptop is recommended.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
