Our Year 10 course builds on the topics covered in Year 9 and prepares you for interacting confidently in daily life situations. You will learn to discuss your daily activities in the present and past, the weather, shop for food and clothing, plan outings and communicate your feelings giving reasons.
CULTURAL STUDIES
An important part of all lessons is the cultural component. You will be encouraged to access information about France and other French speaking countries and experience French food and French literature and music. French speakers are brought into as many classes as possible. You will enjoy meeting students from our French exchange school, le Lycée Guez de Balzac in Angoulême.
NEXT STEPS
You will find that this course provides an excellent basis for NCEA Levels 1-3 and beyond.
New Zealand is part of the global economy and knowledge of French can prepare you for a career in tourism, trade, marketing, diplomacy, interpreting, broadcasting, hospitality, music, international banking or even wine making.
