The course is designed to enable students to gain up to 20 credits in Senior Social Studies Achievement Standards towards the National Certificate of Educational Achievement Level 1. This subject looks at how societies operate and interact. We will examine how people can make a difference by pushing for change and students will be required to create and actively be involved in their own social action
to support a well-known organisation. Students are given opportunities to develop communication, critical thinking and decision-making skills. These attributes help students become responsible individuals with the ability to analyse the world around them.
