Teacher in Charge: Mrs A. Kelder
The course continues to develop the skills needed to understand and use every day written and spoken French. The focus is on communication in less familiar contexts.
Students have to be committed to learning vocabulary and language features and to preparing their internal assessments. Cultural studies are an integral component of the course.
At the end of Year 12, five students have the opportunity to go to spend 6 weeks in France in Angoulême during the summer break. (depending on Covid 19 situation) It is a great opportunity to live an authentic experience (especially Christmas) as well as becoming a confident and fluent French speaker. As part of the exchange the French students come to visit us in July for six weeks.
