The theory element of this course is less academically intense then 12PE. Students have the opportunity to participate in a range of sporting disciplines. They will also develop their leadership skills by coaching primary aged students. There is an outdoor education unit which includes activities like rock climbing and whitewater rafting. Students are also expected to work together to help facilitate sporting events. If you enjoy working with others and want to develop your teamwork and leadership skills within sport and in the outdoors then this course is for you.
Students who select this course need to have good self-management and bring a change of sports gear for all practical lessons and ensure they complete the written work associated with practical assessments.
