Level 2 Mathematics
The course is based on level 7 of the NZ Mathematics & Statistics Curriculum.
The emphasis is on the acquisition of concepts and skills, and using these to solve problems. The course requires high level algebraic skills. This course provides a pathway to all level 3 Mathematics courses.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
A graphics calculator is essential. Walker workbooks are recommended for this course.
Recommended Prior Learning
A Level 1 Merit endorsement in Mathematics is essential for this course, with a Merit grade in AS 1.2 Algebra.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
Total Credits Available: 20 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 13 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 7 credits.
