Subject Description
Teacher in Charge:
The course is based on Level 7 of the NZ Mathematics & Statistics Curriculum. The emphasis is on the acquisition of concepts and skills, and using these to solve problems. The course has an emphasis on Statistics and some general Mathematics topics. This course leads to 13MSI or 13MS.
Recommended Prior Learning
12 Level 1 achieved or higher credits from Mathematics or Statistics achievement standards.
Including a Merit grade in Level 1 Multivariate Statistics and/or Bivariate Data (if coming from 11MSI).

Most assessments are internal assessments. There is one external exam at the end of the year for probability.Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
Total Credits Available: 16 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 4 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 12 credits.
