St Mary's College Curriculum 

All students in year 10 take the following subjects:

• English
• Mathematics
• Physical Education
• Science
• Social Studies

Option Subjects

You will choose 3 options from the available Year 10 courses;

  • Visual Art
• Commerce
• Languages
  • French *
  • Japanese *
  • Samoan *
• STEAM
• Te Reo Māori *
• Technology
  • Digital Technology
  • Food Technology
  • Design Technology

(* Must have been studied in Year 9)

We recommend you continue with the language that you studied in Year 9 and then choose two other option courses to continue. Also choose one extra option as a backup in case one of your first choices are unavailable. Your choices may be restricted by staffing and timetable constraints.

Students who have demonstrated a particular aptitude for learning other languages may take up a second new language subject to the approval of the HoLA Languages.
