Year 9 Information

All students in year 9 take the following subjects:
- Religious Education
- English
- Mathematics
- Physical Education and Health
- Science
- Social Science
- Tikanga Māori
Rotations
Every 13 weeks Year 9 students will rotate the Arts and Technology subjects. You will do, for example, Music and Food and Nutrition for 13 weeks and then Art and Digital Technology for the next 13 weeks and finally Drama and Design Technology. It may not be in that exact order but that is how these Learning Areas work for year 9.

Language Options
Year 9 students do two language rotations. Choose two languages from this list:
- Te Reo Māori
- French
- Samoan
- Japanese
Each language is studied for two terms. You can choose to continue one of these languages in Year 10.
